Uzhhorod National Medical University
Uzhhorod National Medical University received autonomy in the Carpathian region of Ukraine after its establishment on October 18, 1945. The largest university in the Carpathian region is Uzhhorod National Medical University. Over the years, the university has developed its teaching school and scientific and educational traditions. Uzhhorod National University employs 1275 people for scientific and pedagogical work, including 146 doctors of sciences, 698 candidates for doctors of sciences, 11 honoured scientists, 4 honoured workers of Ukraine’s National Education, and 14 honoured doctors of Ukraine. At UNU, approximately 13,000 students study medicine. University educates specialists in a variety of qualification levels, including 53 bachelor’s degree areas, 101 specialities, Masters, and junior specialists. Uzhhorod National Medical University has been ranked 13th out of all Ukrainian universities.
