Engineering is the use of scientific principles to design and build machines, structures, and other items, including bridges, tunnels, roads, vehicles, and buildings.
Students planning to study engineering in India can choose from nearly 100 specialisations, with Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering being some of the most popular ones.
one of the basic conditions is that students must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects. Several institutes have the condition of a minimum percentage of marks in class 12 which varies for various institutes.
Most of the engineering institutes in India select candidates for admission based on entrance exam scores and ranks. While some technical institutes accept AIR (All India Ranks) secured in national level exams, others conduct their entrance exams.

Core engineering Courses
Computer science and engineering
Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is an academic programme that integrates the fields of Computer Engineering and Computer Science. The course contains a plethora of topics but emphasises the basics of computer programming and networking.
|Mechanical Engineering||Mechanical Engineering is a four-year BTech programme that teaches students a basic understanding and knowledge of how heavy tools and machinery work. Mechanical engineering is the study of physical machines that may involve force and movement. It is an engineering branch that combines engineering physics and mathematics principles with materials science to design, analyse, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems.|
|Electrical Engineering||Electrical engineering is an engineering discipline concerned with the study, design, and application of equipment, devices, and systems that use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. They work on large power plants as well as small hardware companies, which include designing, manufacturing, and operating power plants, industrial machinery, electrical motors, computer chips, and ignition systems for automobiles, aircraft, spacecraft, and all kinds of engines.|
|Civil Engineering||Civil Engineering involves planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, and supervising infrastructure, which includes facilities essential to modern life like highways, bridges, tunnels, schools, hospitals, airports, and other buildings, sewage systems, and water treatment facilities.|
|Chemical engineering||Chemical engineering is an engineering field that deals with the study of the operation and design of chemical plants as well as methods of improving production. Chemical engineers develop economical commercial processes to convert raw materials into useful products.|
