Wroclaw is the capital of the Voivodship of Lower Silesia and Poland’s fourth-largest city. Originally built across several islands in mediaeval times, the city still has many lovely bridges and beautiful architecture. One of the city’s most popular destinations is the Rynek, which is lined with colourful buildings. The University of Wroclaw has a long and illustrious history dating back more than three centuries. The university has produced nine Nobel Prize winners since the turn of the century. It is now the region’s largest university, with over 26,000 undergraduate and graduate students, including 1400 doctoral students. 8000 students graduate from the university each year. Wroclaw’s universities rank highly in university rankings and provide a high-quality and diverse educational experience. The study fields and specialisations available are constantly adapted to the needs of the labour market and global trends. Students are given excellent opportunities to gain experience through internships in well-known international corporations.
