Dublin
Dublin, also known as Baile tha Cliath (Town of the Ford of the Hurdle), is the capital of Ireland and is located on the east coast in the province of Leinster. Dublin, located at the head of Dublin Bay in the Irish Sea, is the country’s main port, financial and commercial centre, and cultural centre.
Dublin is ranked 39th in the QS Best Student Cities 2022 rankings for a variety of reasons. However, Ireland’s capital performed best in the factor student mix, ranking 12th. With over 20% of all students being foreigners, the city is ideal for those looking for an international experience. Dublin, despite its small size, provides excellent educational opportunities. Trinity College Dublin, DCU, UCD, and TU Dublin are the city’s four universities. They are all ranked in the QS World University Rankings. Three of them are even among the top 500 in the world. Dublin is home to many globally recognised multinational corporations, particularly in finance, technology, life sciences, and business services. Despite the effects of COVID-19, its economy is still expanding.
