Toulouse
Toulouse is France’s second largest university town. Toulouse, the capital city of the Midi-Pyrenees region, is well-known for its student life and joie de vivre. It has been named the best student city in France. Toulouse is also in an excellent location, being only a few hundred kilometres from the Pyrenees, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean.
The city has a population of 433,055. Toulouse ranks third in France in terms of the number of universities; 27 universities offer 334 study programs.
Toulouse attracts students from all over the world, but it has a special appeal for science students due to its reputation as a centre for high-tech industries. The “Pink City,” with over 100,000 students, is France’s fourth largest student city. Toulouse, with its warm climate and rich historical legacy, is an appealing prospect for students, with a particular emphasis on aeronautics (as the birthplace of Airbus), as well as IT and space.
