Eligibility Criteria

Completion of a Qualifying Program: Students must complete: at least 8 months long UG program from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada. A program can be a degree, diploma, or certificate program.
Full-time Student Status: Students must enrol in a full-time program for the duration of their studies.
Age and Language Requirements: There is no age requirement but from 1st Nov. 2024 students must appear for an English language proficiency test for the PGWP.

Application Process

Timing: Students must apply for the PGWP within 180 days of receiving confirmation (transcripts or graduation letter) that they have completed their program.
Online Application: Applications are submitted online through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website.
Documents Required: Applicants need to provide:
  A valid study permit.
  Proof of program completion (official transcripts and graduation letter).
  Any other required documents, such as passport copy.
  SIN.
