Queensland, the second-largest and third most-populous state in Australia, is located in the northeast. To the west, southwest, and south, respectively, it is bordered by the Northern Territory, South Australia, and New South Wales. More than 5.2 million people live in Queensland, mostly in South East Queensland and along the coast.
